EPISODE26 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

First week we are testing out the new computer and so far... so good. Had to push some interviews back but should be back in stride shortly. Did notice a little static when I started the recording though but I think that it was just me shouting in excitement that Skype worked alright. Anyhow, this week we will feature the songs "Looking For My Own Lone Ranger" and "When Bill Hicks Died" from Charlie Dore's latest album, Cuckoo Hill. The songs are a little softer than I really like but it was a good chance to show some diversity as I haven't gone the folk/country route yet. Yes, her hit, "Pilot Of The Airwaves," might have some of those same styles below the surface. I'm just happy to see her recording after a very long hiatus. For quite some time, if you did a search for her name, our biography on her came up on the top of the search results. Glad to see it reclaimed by her own site.
