Sure, Martin can be really focused sometimes but this week... we were so there. Then we jumped a rail. He discusses the horror one feels as they become successful under a name in your hometown/country and find someone else has that same band name somewhere else. This has happened and is still happening. He still gets upset seeing there is a newer act out there calling themselves Beloved when there was/is a duo called The Beloved. Think that may confuse anyone? It's the reason the Bangs became the Bangles, Yazoo became Yaz and a bunch of British acts either added U.K. to the end of their names or placed English in front.
This episode features a live performance of the Charlatans U.K.'s "Blackened Blue Eyes" which they made available as a free download (with the rest of this really amazing show recorded in a forest) at their Web site for a limited time. Also we feature New Model Army's new single, "Wired," which they also made available as a free download at their Web site. Gotta love these new distribution and promotion methods.
