EPISODE38 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

This week we pay tribute to the late tenor Luciano Pavarotti. That led off our unusual mix of other songs. You see... Led Zeppelin announced their reunion concert which gave us the idea to play the fun and very twisted "The Definitive A Cappella Led Zeppelin Medley" by Country Dick Montana of the Beat Farmers. (The song was released in 1987 on a promo entitled Home Of Country Dick Montana that included a cover of "Karma Chameleon" as well.) To make up for playing that we also premiered the song, "Turn It Up," from Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen's new band Man Raze. Yes, they made this sample of the song a free download at their MySpace page. Pretty darn good. Our most downloaded episode so far... we just don't know why.
