EPISODE39 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

Martin hates keeping bands to himself. That is why he unleashed Del Amitri on the uninitiated this week. Lyrics do mean a lot to him. I think that's why he holds the band in such high esteem. I mean, can you go wrong describing the prolonged unsure moments in life and comparing it to driving with the brakes on? Too many examples. Just listen to them. Anyhow, we avoided their biggest hit and played "Stone Cold Sober" and the more familiar "Always The Last To Know." We also talked a bit about frontman Justin Currie's new solo album coming out and gave away a copy of Hatful Of Rain: The Best Of Del Amitri to a listener that emailed in after the show. (Yes, you too can be a winner! Just... not right now. Next giveaway.)
