EPISODE52 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

This was a pretty busy week as we paid tribute to a fallen artist as well as hold our first annual Christmas episode.

The news of Dan Fogelberg's passing hit us hard at 80's Music Central. It's hard not to get misty-eyed when listening to some of his hits ("Leader Of The Band," "Same Old Lang Syne" or "Longer") but hearing of his death added a lump to our throats. So we featured a montage of his hits from the 1980s (oddly missing "Language Of Love" which is a personal favorite of mine.)

The votes came in for our special Christmas episode (which happens to fall on our 1 year anniversary.) The top 3 favorite holiday hit (of the 80s) voted for by you were:

  1. Billy Squier's "Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You"
  2. The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping"
  3. John Mellencamp's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"

Happy Holidays from our staff
