EPISODE90 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

This week we went for variety and revisited the 100 Hits: 80s collection for our 4th of 5 planned episodes. We featured some unusual U.K. hits that include Matchbox's "When You Ask About Love," Hothouse Flowers' "Don't Go," Department S' "Is Vic There?" and Freiheit's "Keeping The Dream Alive." A diverse mix indeed but, as always, the show is all about your music education.

The show started rather odd in the studio as as a new software update from (who hosts our calls and chat room) had an odd side-effect that separated the audio between our headphones and computer speakers. After discovering that it didn't affect the show, we were able to go. We also started playing "Name That Artist" in the chat room after the show. Chris picked up a CD in the 'best of 5' competition. Had a lot of fun doing this. May decide to make this a monthly prize at some point as doing it weekly may empty our music stash. Something for us to work on and develop... and another reason to catch us in the chat room.
