EPISODE96 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

This week we went educational by featuring music ("One Day In Your Life," "I Go Blind" and "Golden Sun") by 54-40. You probably should recognize "I Go Blind" which was covered in 1997 by Hootie And The Blowfish for the Friends soundtrack. We also talked about the Canadian rock act's new studio album, Northern Soul. For a band that not many in the U.S. have heard, they've maintained a strong fan base that has supported all 19 of their albums (which includes their 3 singles collections.)

Technically, this was a very scary episode. Microsoft issued an update today that affected the system causing a delay when speaking. So, it was like you trying to hold a conversation but every time you spoke you'd hear your words back at you 2 seconds behind... which is confusing as heck. We got through it. "I Go Blind" also stayed in the play position despite ending... which didn't allow what I said afterwards to go through (so on the show, it sounded like back to back songs with a big gap in between.) All that is fixed in this version. Enjoy.
