EPISODE100 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

As you can tell from the title, this week we celebrated our 100th episode. A lot of things came together during the course of the week. We interviewed former Madam X/Vixen drummer Roxy Petrucci and feature a few songs (a live version of Vixen's "I Want You To Rock Me," Maxine Petrucci's "Titania" and Roktopuss' "Dog Bite") that she must have broken a stick or two on. Definitely check out her personal MySpace page and the one for her latest project, Roktopuss. You can purchase her music at both of those pages... which are a must have for your collection.

We couldn't celebrate episode 100 without talking to Patrick from You see, for about a year they played The 80s Nuts Update weekday news segment which... pretty much gave Martin his news recording launchpad. Just the fact that we got to talk to him about the old station meant a lot.

Lastly, we feature a previously-unreleased demo from Buzz (that is under the working title "B-U-Z-Z (demo)" that has a strange origin explained near the end of the show. The band was featured on episode 61 back in February. The song is expected on the upcoming album,
Vaudou électrique, which will follow their forthcoming fifth album, BUZZ Blitz Klub. All that plus your regular news and information about your favorite recording artists.
