EPISODE110 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

This week we talked with Boys Don't Cry vocalist/keyboardist Nick Richards about the band history, the record industry, their White Punks On Rap collection and upcoming album. We featured their classic hit, "I Wanna Be A Cowboy," as well as premiered some new material ("Don't Go Jumping With Frogs" and "Blow Me.") As soon as the new album gets released, we expect to review it and if it sounds as good as the samples... expect a high rating. The songs we didn't play were tremendous but there is only so much you can play from an album that isn't out yet.

If you've heard us mention during the show, the new dog Martin purchased, he's less happy with his acquisition than he was before. He brought her to the office as he did some prep work for this week's show. Bella chewed through the microphone cables, headset cables and had a great time doing so. Teething can't be a wonderful thing. So, his dog isn't allowed near the sound room for the immediate future as we quickly acquired a new headset and a set of cables in time to test it out during the show. Impressive, I know. Anyhow, the audio quality is on par with the previous episodes so changing equipment didn't affect things as much as expected. Should be a short but busy week here as the next episode gets recorded early (and not live) so our host can head to Sacramento.
