EPISODE173 - Talking 80s Music with Martin Hennessy

This week on Talking 80s Music, we take a look at the strut, swagger and sensuality of iconic U.K. rock act The Pretenders. Expect to hear a massive retrospective mix, a live version of "Middle Of The Road" from Live Aid and their 1981 single, "The Adultress," by the Chrissie Hynde-led ensemble. So much to cram into one episode but they've just had one of those careers. We also played a 1981 single called "Rock Hard" by Fallout in memory of their (and Carnivore/Type O Negative) vocalist Peter Steele.

Technically, everything went well. Made an announcement the day before about the coming end to the 80s Nuts Newsletter after over a decade (nearly 12 years) celebrating the decade. What does that mean for future shows? Well, we will not be focusing on the news for 20+ minutes each week. If a news article get mentioned in conversation, we'll try to put a link up for you or something. It also means that we can focus on that specific artist each week and take more of your calls. It'd be good to hear what you think about some of them but, otherwise, the future remains the future and we will adjust accordingly.
